I'm not an organised person
well I sort of am but then I forget about it..
So I'm part-time organised..
I'm a bit annoyed with what happened to this "paperless society" to be honest
because in my opinion there's more paper arriving at this old house than ever..
I mean you can get your bills etc on-line, but then you have to print them out anyway
What's that all about??!!
Before I knew it I had THREE cardboard boxes full of the stuff
which I couldn't throw out because Mr Taxman tells you they have to be kept for six years (or something like that) even though the ink fades on most of the invoices anyway..
Annoying...
So I have been looking to find a piece of furniture to solve my storage problems
Which looks fabulous
but doesn't cost much
I was even organised enough to save some money just for that purpose..
But do you think I could find anything??
nope
Just quietly .. I even looked at reproduction furniture
which by the way is lovely..
but I didnt like this much..
I could buy myself a car with that..
seriously
So I thought I would bide my time
and stay within my budget which was well under the price shown above let me tell you..
And then there it was
all solid wood and time worn just the way I love my furniture..
with that row of lockers look..
and well within my budget too
but what's even better is what's inside.
I guess that makes me full-time organised now?...

oh by the way I would like to thank the following people who were involved in the fruition of this furniture hunt -
My husband Steve who borrowed a trailer from work, and drove all the way out country to pick it up AFTER a full work day..
His sidekick Michael for being his wingman and muscleman..
My wonderful next door neighbour Michael for his muscles and lift
The random guy who stopped on the road outside to give us a hand (how nice was that??) because he could see a large heavy bit of furniture potentially rolling down the hill on a trolley and he really needed to get past so he could pick up his kids from school...
Again my husband Steve who drove all the way back out country to return the removers trolley he had to borrow the same night..
And to all involved for the minimal amount of swearing and general good humour in getting the heaviest piece of antique furniture in all history into our home..
Also thankyou to the tradie who restumped that section of flooring last year - yes it held ...
